I got it before my foot fusion surgery so I could get used to using it. So far it's perfect, I'm glad I found this. It was easy to put together and put on. Walking with it is pretty easy too. I'm practicing getting out of chairs and off of a couch. It's a little tough because those are soft, harder furniture is easy.
The Freedom Leg helped give my husband active mobility while he was non-weight bearing! He was able to explore a mountain town - walk from the parking garage, ride a gondola, explore shops, dine out - all in the Freedom Leg!
It helped him keep his strength and musble tone up throughout his body (versus sitting on the couch).
A real game changer in the healing process!
My Orthopedic Surgeon told me I would be off work for a minimum of six weeks. My patients were worried. I researched available alternatives to keep my leg from weight bearing with no crutches. I bought both the IWalk and the Freedom leg. Tried the IWalk first. Stairs were scary and you cannot drive with it on. Freedom leg allowed me to see patients nine days after surgery for a complete Achilles rupture. My patients were very thankful. It definitely takes some practice but with a little dedication I was able to navigate stairs the first day. Some of my patients were skeptical that I could perform side posture pelvic adjustments but all were pleasantly surprised. Thank You Freedom leg. Dr. Lee M. Larsen D.C.
